Whengo Privacy Policy
Last updated October 13, 2026
No accounts, no tracking
Whengo has no sign-up and no accounts. It runs no analytics or advertising SDKs, builds no profile of you, and never tracks you across apps or websites. The app sends nothing to any Snowy Ghost server.
Location
Whengo uses your precise location for one purpose: to request the weather, UV and air quality forecast for your area. You can type a US zip code instead. Apple’s location services turn your location into a zip code for display, and a typed zip code into coordinates. Forecast requests go to Open-Meteo.com and carry only the coordinates being forecast. Open-Meteo may keep those coordinates in its server logs for up to 90 days, under its own privacy policy.
Preferences and profiles
Everything you set up (your limits, time and day choices, and saved profiles) is stored on your device, in storage shared only between Whengo and its widget. Deleting the app deletes this data. We never see it.
Calendar and notifications
Adding a window to your calendar opens the system calendar editor. Whengo can’t read your calendar and needs no calendar access. Window reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device.
Purchases
The one-time Whengo Pro upgrade is processed by Apple. RevenueCat, our purchase provider, receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase history to confirm what you own and to give us sales totals. Neither is linked to your name or email. If you ask Apple for a refund, RevenueCat tells Apple on our behalf that we’d like it granted. It also confirms the purchase details Apple requires, such as whether Pro was delivered. Buying Pro means you agree to this.
Asking for a free code
If you email whengo-pro@snowyghost.com, we receive your email address and message. An AI model (Anthropic’s Claude, running on Amazon Web Services) helps us review requests and draft replies. We keep a record of each request so every person gets one code. Email team@snowyghost.com to have yours deleted.
Keeping and deleting data
Data on your device stays until you delete the app. RevenueCat keeps the anonymous ID and purchase history for as long as they’re needed to confirm what you own. Free-code requests are kept until you ask us to delete them. The services named here (Apple, Open-Meteo, RevenueCat, Anthropic and Amazon Web Services) handle data under their own privacy policies, and we only use providers that protect it at least as well as this policy does.
