The short version: Whengo has no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Your preferences stay on your device, and your location is used only to fetch the local forecast — it is never stored off your device or shared with anyone.

Who we are

Whengo is an iOS app made by Snowy Ghost LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). This policy describes how Whengo handles information.

Data we collect

None about you. Whengo has no sign-up and no accounts. We run no analytics or advertising SDKs, we build no profile of you, and we never track you across apps or websites. We operate no servers of our own, so there is nowhere for your personal data to be sent.

Location

Whengo uses your precise location for one purpose only: to request the weather, UV, and air-quality forecast for your area. You can also skip location and simply type a US zip code instead. Either way, your location is used on your device to make that forecast request — it is not stored off your device, and it is not transmitted to us or to any advertiser or data broker.

Weather data

Forecast data (weather, UV index, and air quality) comes from Open-Meteo.com, made available under the Creative Commons BY 4.0 license. These requests need no API keys and no account. They carry only the location or zip code being forecast — never your identity, because Whengo has no identity for you.

Preferences and profiles

Everything you set up in Whengo — your temperature, humidity, wind, precipitation, time-of-day, day-of-week, air-quality, and UV preferences, along with any saved profiles — is stored on your device, in storage shared only between Whengo and its widget. Deleting the app deletes this data. We never see it.

Calendar access

When you tap add-to-calendar, Whengo asks for write-only calendar access to add the time window you chose. Whengo cannot read your existing events, and requests calendar access only at the moment you use that feature.

Purchases

If you buy the one-time Whengo Pro upgrade, the purchase is handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, which processes the App Store purchase receipt to confirm what you own. This receipt flow does not collect personal data about you, and Whengo shares no other information with it.

Children

Whengo does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here and ship with the app, with the date above revised.
